Patty Breitag, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, earned her Master's in Choral Conducting from California StateUniversity at Long Beach, where she studied conducting with Dr. Lynn Bielefelt. She also earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Clarinet Performance from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Conservatory of Music. Patty currently teaches five choirs at Diamond Bar High School and is a freelance musician, vocalist, and professional accompanist in Los Angeles and Orange counties, where she performs with various groups in all musical genres.
She is in demand as a musical theatre rehearsal accompanist and musical director/conductor, having directed and conducted shows with Curtains Up!, Fullerton College, El Camino College, Brea Olinda High School, and the Musical Theatre West Summer Youth Conservatory. Along with her duties as Assistant Director and Accompanist for West Coast Singers, Patty is Artistic Director of the South Bay-based Patty Breitag Singers and Accompanist for the Torrance-based Los Cancioneros Master Chorale. She has been a Methodist church organist for 35 years and is currently the Director of Music, Choir Director, and Organist at the the United Methodist Church of El Segundo.
